WRECK 4, Thurs 30 March

Shock! Horror! We've actually booked four bands which sound vaguely like they SHOULD be on the same bill! Completely by accident, we assure you.

>>>Nine Days To No-one
Rising stars of the Engineer label, having just received rave reviews in all the rock rags. Monolithic metal/hardcore which sometimes recalls Neurosis and Botch, but with fresh-sounding, varied textures and a malevolence all of its own.

>>>Meet me in St Louis
Abrasive, relentlessly unpredictable, time sig-murdering rock with impassioned, raw vocals and bewildering arrangements.

>>>twentysixfeet
Electronic lounge crooner hardcore ambient cyclical post-punk/rock on downers.

>>>Mai Mayo Mai
Intricate hardcore/rock textures with heavy drum and bass/jazz influences. Unusual-sounding music which shows lots of promise.

Merch stall with all the bands' tackle, WRECK compilation cds and hopefully embroidered WRECK t-shirts.

Marcia from XFM (probably) on the 1s and 2s.

This promises to be a belter. Don't take our word for it: check out the sounds.

This looks monstrous!

In a strange twist of fate I met the drummer from Mai Mayo Mai when I was in Oxford to see Sunnyvale Noise Sub-Element.
