A Re-Design for Our 3rd Birthday
Submitted by Theo Graham-Brown on Mon, 10/09/2007 - 07:30.To celebrate the site's 3rd birthday we thought we'd give it a much-needed spring clean. A few things have changed: gone for good is the heavy black text; we've stripped out the various forums and replaced them with a single message board, containing all the old posts, naturally. As well as that there is now an updated Staff Listing page and a full Site Index, which doesn't include message board posts. Finally, we've a new logo and header format. We hope you like it.
iShotTheDeputy does RoTa: Four bands for Free this Saturday afternoon (24th March 2007)
Submitted by Theo Graham-Brown on Wed, 21/03/2007 - 13:56.iShotTheDeputy.com has been allowed to take over the traditional Saturday afternoon slot at the Notting Hill Arts Club that Rough Trade Records run (RoTa). This event is always free and occurs from 4pm until 8pm, meaning you can pop-down, grab a surprisingly tasty and cheap, hitherto unknown, lager beer and still be able to make your important evening engagements. And all this in the 'high class' surrounds of Notting Hill.

ISD Gig Post-Mortem, the Listings Newsletter and General Information
Submitted by Theo Graham-Brown on Tue, 20/06/2006 - 21:03.Hello all you lucky* newsletter subscribers,
and thank you to everyone who managed to make it down to our fourth band night, making it a resounding success. Eddie Manwaring has taken a break this time round so I've reviewed this time around. You can find it here: http://ishotthedeputy.com/?q=node/505
Photos will follow along very soon but if you want to see some pics from the previous two nights then you can find them here: http://ishotthedeputy.com/?q=node/488
We'll not be putting on any more nights until the Autumn thanks to various comitments but there are other gigs I'd urge you to check out which are listed on our site. So here's time for small plug:
http://listings.ishotthedeputy.com
Go there and you'll find there's an entry box to receive emails twice a week detailing all the gigs we think are worth going to. It's a separate email list from this one so you'll need to sign up separately. You can also get individual email reminders for each gig on the database. Finally, if you go to http://mobile.ishotthedeputy.com on your phone you'll get today's gigs listed, allowing you to quickly work out if there's anything worth doing of an evening.
In the meantime here's a little smattering of the gigs that you should definitely do your best to be at, if you can:

Sat 17th June: Popular Workshop, Sunnyvale, Wolfie and Chik Budo
Submitted by Theo Graham-Brown on Tue, 13/06/2006 - 06:09.The next band night is now this Saturday 17th June, 2006. The venue is still: Upstairs at the Enterprise, 2 Haverstock Hill, right by Chalk Farm tube, a map can be found HERE.
The running order is still a bit mad. All I know for sure is Popular Workshop are headlining!
Popular Workshop are a bit of a "finally" for me, since I've been trying to put one of Gypsy's bands on for about three years. They've got one fine single out already with Studio Penguin and another in the pipeline for later this year with Tigertrap so it's fair to say they're making an impact. Soundwise it's...erm...good. Really good. Frankly, they seem to gig every other day so if you've not heard them already you're probably dead. They're worth seeing as often as possible so we're happy to give you that opportunity.
Sat 17th June: ISD Puts More Bands on for Your Pleasure
Submitted by Theo Graham-Brown on Thu, 25/05/2006 - 12:28.Hello,
We thought we'd take May off from putting gigs on as there were two All Tomorrow's Parties festivals to contend with and a bunch of other events...and it looked like I might have had to move out (luckily not).
So, the next band night is now coming up fast Saturday 17th June, 2006 and we're nothing if not predictable when it comes to this sort of affair, so the venue remains the same: Upstairs at the Enterprise, 2 Haverstock Hill, right by Chalk Farm tube, a map (for those who foolishly missed the last one) can be found HERE.
The next ISD Band night: Saturday 22nd April
Submitted by Theo Graham-Brown on Wed, 12/04/2006 - 20:18.Okay, so the last one was so good we have already got another night of entertainment booked for you.
The venue is the same: Upstairs at the Enterprise, 2 Haverstock Hill, right by Chalk Farm tube, a map (for those who foolishly missed the last one) can be found HERE.
However, the day is a drink-friendly SATURDAY and we should have had five bands but regrettably the Lucida Console have had to pull out so the confirmed line up is as follows:
The site is back and news of the 22nd April: the next ISD night at the Enterprise
Submitted by Theo Graham-Brown on Fri, 07/04/2006 - 23:39.Hello,
I've just returned from a couple of excellent gigs and found that the internet's been beavering away, resulting in a successful website transfer to the new hosting company. This last week has been a bit of a nightmare as our old hosters seem to be unable to (a) do things with any speed or (b) do them with any sort of skill. The new company should see me at least have some decent support if and when things do go wrong.
Next ISD Band Night: Thurs 23rd March
Submitted by Theo Graham-Brown on Fri, 10/03/2006 - 00:08."The old ISD Mailing List is dead, long live the ISD newsletter."
Welcome to the new, still only occasional, iShotTheDeputy newsletter. The main reason for its inauguration is to inform all of our site members about the upcoming night of bands we're putting on upstairs at the Enterprise in Chalk Farm on Thursday 23rd March.
We'll be putting on:
